Via the capabilities of our ImmoTrack Secure, we offer Safe Engine Cut-Off (SECO), which is shown in our Mobile App via the “Disable Stolen Vehicle” command. This safely disables the vehicle when the speed of the vehicle is zero (stationary). The command is queued up even if the vehicle is moving, and will trigger as soon as the vehicle comes to a halt.
The SECO functionality is possible only with the ImmoTrack Secure or ImmoTrack Tough trackers. Via our web portal or the Mobile App, you can remotely disable vehicles equipped with our immobilizer wiring harness.
We use latching relays for vehicle immobilization, meaning that when you disable the vehicle, it will stay that way until you re-activate it, even if the vehicle battery is disconnected.
ImmoTrack requests that customers only use the Disable Stolen Vehicle command on the advice of Law Enforcement.
When you Disable your vehicle via the Mobile App., the ImmoTrack GPS server will send the command to the vehicle. The method used to send the command is via the 4G network, and it will generally be sent immediately, but can be queued for sending. Here we describe this behaviour:
| GPS Tracker state | Command behaviour |
|---|---|
| Connection Online | The Command will be sent immediately (up to 5 seconds delay from 4G network limitations). |
| Connection Offline |
The Command will be queued, and the server will try to force the GPS tracker to connect via an SMS message. If the tracker receives the SMS and successfully connects, the command is then immediately sent. If your GPS tracker cannot connect due to mobile network issues, the command will remain in the queue until it next successfully connects to the ImmoTrack Online servers. |
The behaviour of how your vehicle is disabled once you send the “Disable Stolen Vehicle” command differs depending on whether the vehicle is moving or not moving when you send the command:
| Vehicle State | Behaviour when command is received |
|---|---|
| Not Moving | Immobilization will take effect immediately |
| Moving above 0km/h | Immobilization will take effect when the vehicle stops |
Our immobilizer kit and GPS tracker combination has the ability to track the status of your vehicle. You can see the status of your vehicle in the Popup Info menu.

The following Vehicle Statuses are reported:
| Immobliser | Immobilizer State |
|---|---|
| Vehicle Active | Vehicle can be started and driven. |
| Vehicle Disabled | Vehicle cannot be started. |
